Rich Snippets

Rich Snippets provide additional information in search results. They can provide information like product price, review rating, etc in search results. For example, the Rich Snippet on the screenshot below shows search results for website template. Search results include rating (stars), amount of reviews and template price:

Google Rich Snippets have the following data types:

• Product – information regarding the product (availability, price and review rating).
• Review – review of items like restaurants, places, movies, etc.
• Video – shows video with description and thumbnails.
• Event – can be used for providing info regarding concerts or festivals.
• SoftwareApplication – information about a software (its price, URL, review rating).
• Recipe – is used for recipes that can be displayed in search results.
• News article – news article, including images, publisher info and headline.
