Snippet (in Shopify) is a ready-made and/or re-usable source code which displays a certain element on one’s website (e.g., a mega-menu). In order to make a snippet work, the reference of it (a short piece of code) should be inserted in a larger file which, for example, displays a whole page (e.g., theme.liquid). The snippets are used to avoid repetitive typing of the same code.
