The steps below will guide you on how to add social media icons to WordPress:
Step 1. First of all, you need to select an extension you will use for adding your social icons. That might be the most time-consuming step. We selected the Menu Social Icons plugin, but we do not insist and do not limit you to a huge selection of various plugins.
Step 2. After installation and activation of the selected plugin, navigate to Appearance> Menus:
Step 3. Here, you will need to create a new menu for your social icons by clicking on the Create new menu button:
Step 4. In order to add the icon you need to locate custom links on the left sidebar, select an icon, input the title and needed URL for the new social icon:
Step 5. Once you added all the needed icons data, go to Appearance> Widgets, and locate Navigation (or Custom) menu widget:
Step 6. Add the widget to the needed Widget Area and set up with needed configurations: input the title and select the menu you created on Step 3 from the dropdown list. Then, save the changes:
