How to add widgets to WordPress
March 30, 2018
Hello, our support team is ready to present you a new tutorial that shows how to add widgets in WordPress.
Widgets let you add different functionality and features to your WordPress site in an easy way, without writing any code.
You can access widgets in Appearance > Widgets section in your WordPress admin area.
Widgets that you can add can be found on the left, under the list of available widgets.
On the right hand, you can see the pre-designated areas for placing your widgets. These areas are defined by your theme. They are usually called sidebars or widget areas.
You can simply drag and drop widgets to the needed area. You can also click on a widget title from the list of available widgets and WordPress will show you the list of available areas.
Select the area and add the widget.
Check the result on your site.
We hope this step-by-step guidance was useful for you. Feel free to check our blog to learn more tweaks on how to manage your WordPress website as a guru of the web design!
