Drupal 7.x. How to add Google Analytics tracking code
For adding Google Analytics code we will need to install Google analytics module.
In order to download Google analytics module, please follow the link: Google Analytics. Right click on tar.gz and select Copy link address:
-
Navigate to Drupal admin panel and go to Modules > Install new module and paste the copied link address into Install from a URL field, click on Install button:
 -
Once the module is installed click on Enable newly added modules link:
 -
On the appeared screen look for Google Analytics and place check mark next to it, then click on Save Configuration button:
 -
Next, click the Configuration link from the top menu and look for Google Analytics within the System section and open it. On the appeared screen you can see General Settings tab, so you can set it up to your needs:
 -
Enter the Web Property ID for your Google Analytic Site. You can locate this ID by vising your Google Analytics account and checking next to the site name. Once you are done with settings, click Save configuration at the bottom of the page:
