You can easily create, set a date range, disable or delete discounts in Shopify admin panel. Let us show you how to do it:

1. Log into your Shopify Admin panel and go to Discounts:

   

2. Press Add a discount button at the top right. This button brings you to a page where you can create discount:

   

3. First of all, you need to add a discount name. You can either type your custom discount title in the Discount code field in Discount details section:

   

4. Or you may generate random discount code by clicking Generate code button. We will use this option to proceed:

   

5. In the next field you need to specify how many times can this discount be used. Type quantity you want customers to be able to use the discount or mark No limit checkbox if you do not need to limit discount usage:

   

6. There are 3 different discount types in Discount type section. Let us explain them one by one:

   1. First option $ USD allows you to take money off for specific collection/product/customer, etc.

      Type certain amount in the Take field, and from next drop down box select for which specific collection, product, customer group or order discount can be applied. Specify additional details in the last drop-down menu if required:

      

   2. Next option % Discount allows you to take a certain percent off for the collection, product, customer group or order. It works in the same way, the only difference is that you need to type the amount of percents for discount. Specify additional details in the last drop-down menu if required:

      

   3. Last type of a discount you can offer is Free shipping that can be applied to any shipping rate that is less than or equal to the amount you set in the $ field. It can be applied to origin country you are in or other countries as well by selecting option from applies to field:

      

7. Once you’ve set up your discount parameters, you will need to pick a Date range. Type the date you want to start your discount in Discount begins field and date when it should end in Discount expires field. If your discount is not a limited time offer, mark Never expires checkbox.

   Press Save discount button to save the changes:

   

8. Now discount is set and it appears in the admin panel. Press Disable if you want to disable it for some time or trash can icon if you want to get rid of the discount:
