Arcavio – HTML5 Games Portal PHP Script with Admin Dashboard

Arcavio is a self-hosted HTML5 game portal with a full admin panel. It runs on PHP 8.2+ with a built-in SQLite database: no MySQL to create, no Composer, no Node.js and no build step. Upload the files, open your domain, and a one-step web installer checks your server, creates your administrator account and locks itself. It works from a domain root or a subfolder on cPanel, Plesk, Nginx or XAMPP.

The front end has a dark, fully responsive design with a hero carousel, a branded preloader, and homepage rows for Arcavio Originals, editor's picks, trending, new and most popular games, with no game repeated on the same page. Visitors get search, category pages, favorites, recently played games and an account with profile, avatar upload and password reset by email.

The game page has theatre mode, fullscreen, restart, star ratings, "More like this" suggestions, a share sheet and one-tap problem reports. The blog has cover images and a sidebar, and About, Privacy and Terms pages are editable.

Admin Panel Features

A drag-and-drop homepage builder; a game library with bulk publish, draft, disable, feature, move and delete, plus CSV and JSON export; a Disabled status that hides a broken game without losing its data; a JSON and CSV importer that previews exactly what will be created, updated, skipped or fail, keeps an import history and retries failed rows; Administrator, Editor and Moderator roles; game reports, submissions, ad placements, site settings and maintenance mode.

A live demo mode lets you show the portal publicly with a read-only demo account and no search-engine indexing.

Included HTML5 Games

Arcavio includes 12 original HTML5 games made specifically for this script, each with its own artwork. These self-hosted games work without third-party domain approval.

The installer can also add an optional GameDistribution starter catalog of 130 games. Those games require the website owner's own GameDistribution approval for their domain before they will play.

You can also add your own HTML5 games or embed games from providers that authorize your domain.

SEO and Monetization

Per-game SEO titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, Open Graph and JSON-LD, automatic 301 redirects when a game's URL changes, and a sitemap index split into chunks for large catalogs.

Google AdSense placements on the homepage, game pages and listings accept validated publisher and slot IDs only.

Security and Upgrades

No default administrator password; protection against cross-site requests on every form; rate-limited sign-in, registration and reports; game embeds limited to trusted HTTPS hosts and run in a sandboxed frame; avatars checked by their real content; automatic, transactional database upgrades between versions.

Server Requirements

• PHP 8.2 or newer with pdo_sqlite, json, session and fileinfo (usually enabled by default). Tested on PHP 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5.
• Apache, LiteSpeed or Nginx. Apache and LiteSpeed need mod_rewrite for subfolder installs.
• HTTPS recommended for production.
